Into the Wild

This is one of the first non-fiction books that I have really enjoyed. The plot is interesting, the main character is fun to get to know, and the future is uncertain. Krakauer does an amazing job keeping the reader interested and focused. I appreciate his writing style. The first couple chapters have been very interesting, trying to figure out Chris McCandless way of thinking. Already knowing the plot, I am not excited to read the end of the story however, watching the story unfold is engaging, seeing what Chris is going to do next.
Chris knows that he has a very dicey future. One word to describe this risk taker, would be dicey. He is very uncertain of his future, as if not to care, or care about others around him. His actions are unpredictable, leading him down an unknown path. He must have been really insecure, and dumb to think that there was even a slight possibility that he would make it out alive. A reader can relate this book to The Call of the Wild, another story about survival in the harsh cold. I can relate to this book
because I love being in the wilderness.

CD Review

The well known rapper T.I. just released his sixth album in September. The day it came out I went and purchased it. T.I. is one of the best known rappers in the industry, and after a ton of crappy hip hop coming out, I needed this album to be good to keep my interest in rap. The album featured close to a dozen other very talented artists, which made it very fun to listen to. I really enjoyed listening to Papertrail.

T.I. ( Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.) was born in 1980. He has been a successful rap artist, producer, and has starred in the movie ATL. T.I. was born in Atlanta and grew up in Bankhead which is a rough place to grow up. He came from a background of drugs and crime. Recently, he was convicted with possession of weed and firearms. He has served jail time before and will also serve some for his most recent felonies.

It is extremely hard to put T.I next to another artist and call them similar. He truly does have his own style and that is why I speak so highly of him.

T.I. did a collaboration with Rhianna, and it has been one of his most successful songs ever. He hit the nail on the head with this song, he reached out to many different types of people, including my mom. Rhianna is the most popular female artist right now and T.I. knew that he would be successful doing a song with her.

T.I.'s Papertrail was definetly worth the money. Cleaning up his act may help with CD sales but aside from that, Papertrail was one of his best albums yet.

Jack Johnson came out with a CD In Between Dreams in 2005. Just recently he did a remix to all of his songs. In Between Dreams sold over two million copies in the United States alone.

Jack Johnson is a Hawaii Born musician who had no intention on being a musician at all. When doing a project for a class Jack wrote a song. His peers urged him to keep playing, and today he is one of the most popular artists of our time.

I was lucky enough to go and see him play live in Appleton, Wisconsin over the summer. There were people there from hundreds of miles away. Jack Johnson really doesnt have any competition because he has his own style of music. It is either a hit or miss with the listener, they like his style or they dont.

I feel like you most people who buy his album appreciate what he does. No matter what kind of music you listen to it is hard to not like some good old mellow acoustic music.

Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,
I did not vote for you. However I do have a little bit of confidence that you will put our country in the right direction. Please, please do not take troops out of Iraq too fast! Also, dont call the war a mistake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG4fe9GlWS8

Why is my dads hard earned money going to poor people, or people who dont work as hard as him? Now that he is going to be taxed he will have less money, along with other business owners, to invest in their companies. Our economy will stay crappy for a long time with this plan. Market is down 300 points today, nice!

Please stop our need for foreign oil, and find new technologies to help save the planet.

Congrats

In about four years we will be completely out of Iraq. We will have found Osama and stopped most of the terrorism in the middle east. We wont depend on the middle east for oil. People will realize that we need a republican office so our next president will be rep. The biggest issue facing our world will be alternative ways of doing things. We will hopefully no longer be polluting.
